Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Aviation Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We are currently representing a dynamic and innovative infrastructure consulting firm seeking a skilled Aviation Project Manager to join their widely respected and growing Aviation Division in New Jersey.
What you would be doing: (Responsibilities)
- Manage multi-disciplinary aviation projects in New England.
- Assist in developing client relationships.
- Deliver high-quality products and superior client service.
- Plan and schedule work efforts on multiple airport improvement projects.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Lead and present at meetings with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Maintain and grow the client base in the Southeast.
- Actively participate in industry organizations and events.
Who you are: (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer with additional state licenses preferred
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in aviation-related design, project planning, programming, and project/task management services for commercial and general aviation airports
- Knowledge of and experience in the New England aviation market, including funding sources
- Working knowledge of design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
