Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Aviation Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Essential Functions:

    The Account Manager assists with the day-to-day activities of the operation and must be able to assume the responsibility of their shift. The specific duties vary by location, at the direction of the Station Management. They may include having primary responsibility for the following:

    • Ensuring each position is covered and all requirements of the contract are met
    • Maintaining accurate timekeeping for payroll purposes
    • Assisting with tip reporting, call-out logs, records, passenger logs, electronic passenger assistance by staff on shift, or any required forms
    • Ensuring all incoming staff members have on-the-job training
    • Communicating with airlines and other customers to provide exceptional customer service
    • Ensure staff is meeting safety standards
    • Counseling, Coaching and Participating in Disciplining Employees
    • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
    • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
    • Carry out other duties as assigned

    Compensation:

    Education/Experience:

    An Associate’s degree, High school diploma, or equivalent may be substituted with two years of relevant experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Efficient, immediate problem-solving capabilities.

    Computer Skills:

    Knowledge of Outlook and Word and an ability sufficient to organize schedules and perform other tasks related to payroll and operations.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job may require the supervision of accounts, supervisors, or work crews at the direction of the Station Management.
