Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, including brake repair, electrical problems, and HVAC systems

- Fabricate and weld components as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics
- Ability to fabricate and weld components
- Experience with farm machinery maintenance is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
