Automotive Mechanic jobs in Albany, OR

Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     • Perform maintenance and recall procedures
    • Various other mechanical and maintenance repairs
    • Consulting with service advisors and technicians
    • Concise record keeping
    • Workspace maintenance
    • Vehicle inspections and recommendations
    • Starting rate is dependent on experience

     

    Qualifications:

    • Valid drivers license and driving record that allows you to be covered on our ins. policy
    • Ability to operate a manual and automatic transmission
    • Positive and enthusiastic work ethic
    • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
    • Hard working with the ability to focus on the details
    • Ability work in a fast paced, team environment Ability to follow directions
    • Physically able to lift 20-80 lbs.
    • Starting rate is dependent on experience
