Window Tinter and Auto Glass Installer
We are looking to hire an experienced window tinter and auto glass installer to accurately measure, cut and apply the latest technology tinting and glass to our customers' vehicle windows. As a member of our tinting/glass team, you will be required to use a tint program to input the vehicle specifications, expertly cut the tint to the correct size, and apply the tinting on the vehicle with extreme precision, and install glass on vehicles as well.
Window Tinter Responsibilities:
· Using the shop tinting software program to input the vehicle window specifications.
· Removing dirt and debris from windows.
· Applying window primer before fitting the tint.
· Cutting tint using authorized techniques.
· Applying and smoothing tint onto vehicle windows.
· Smoothing out imperfections.
· Stripping and removing old window tinting.
· Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
Window Tinter Requirements:
· Previous experience as a window tinter.
· Extensive knowledge of vehicle and glass specifications.
· Strong attention to detail.
Auto Glass Technician Responsibilities:
· Using primer to prime all damaged areas of windshields and car windows.
· Weatherproofing glass by applying a chemical treatment to the outer surfaces and installing rubber weather seals around glass edges.
· Traveling to various locations to assess as well as repair or replace customers' windshields and windows.
· Removing moldings, wipers, screws, bolts, and clips before glass installation and repairs and replacing them thereafter.
· Injecting resin into small chips or cracks and heating the damaged areas using a heat source.
· Identifying issues that may affect glass installation, such as rust or vehicle damage.
· Removing all dirt and debris from windshields and windows before beginning repair or weatherproofing treatments.
· Using clips, moldings, and adhesives to affix custom-cut glass to customers’ vehicles.
Auto Glass Technician Requirements:
· Proven experience working as an auto glass technician.
· Sound knowledge of automotive glass repair and installation techniques.
· Strong mechanical skills.
· Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
· Effective communication skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Detail-oriented.
