Automotive Glass Installer/Repairer jobs in Hamilton, OH

Key Responsibilities:

Glass Installation:

• Fabrication & installation of storefronts.
• Install glass & glazing panels, windows, doors, and curtain walls in commercial buildings.
• Mirrors
• Shower enclosures

Glass Repair and Replacement:

• Identify and assess damaged or broken glass components.
• Provide accurate dimensions & ability to read tape measure .

Sealant Application & Caulking:

• Apply sealants and caulking to glass and framing.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment to prevent accidents.

Blueprint Interpretation:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine glass and framing installation requirements.

Glass Fabrication:

• Familiar with glass fabrication.

Quality Control:

• Inspect finished installations for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards and client expectations.
• Address any issues or defects promptly.

Customer Interaction:

• Communicate with clients and project managers.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, contractors, and architects, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Assist in coordinating project timelines and tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of glass types, materials, and installation techniques.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations, training will be provided.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
