Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for an Estimator opportunity for our customer in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Position Overview

• Develop and examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
• Interface with project managers in addition to various other disciplines to determine scope and review work product.
• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on all size projects and contract types.
• Examine requests for budget revisions, recommend approval or denial, and draft correspondence.
• Provide technical assistance in the preparation of budgets.
• Develop cost estimates based on provided plans.
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production and operational schedules.

Requirements

• BS and 10 years of relevant experience; additional work experience can be considered in lieu of education.
• Experience in detail level estimates and design packages.
• Knowledge of EPC estimating methods and processes/procedures.
• Experience in performing quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and cost and price analysis.
• Certified Cost Professional (CCP) and Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) certifications preferred.
• Prior DOE / NNSA work experience desired.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance.
• Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
