Position: Automobile/General Liability Adjuster Pay range: $ (commensurate w/experience)
Qualifications: Licensed Louisiana Automobile/General Liability Adjuster. This is a full-time, remote position working during normal hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:
· Manages mid-level general liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure.
· Damage Estimating.
· May participate in oversight activities as a liability consultant.
· Manages auto physical damage claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure.
· Takes recorded statements from claimants, insureds, witnesses, medical providers, conducts investigations into moderately complex auto accidents, determines liability, and prepares summaries.
· Provides timely service throughout the life of the claim by meeting all service level agreements, initiating timely contact to all appropriate parties, and responding to incoming inquires according to company policy and procedures.
· Please note that, because this is a field service position, you will need to have a valid driver's license, fully insured (full coverage) and reliable vehicle.
· Reviews open files on a regular basis and makes contact with insureds, claimants or representative to determine progress of claims.
· Must be able to safely operate an automobile, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, digital camera, personal computer, and miscellaneous office equipment.
· Reviews photos of damaged vehicles, reviews estimates utilizing computerized estimating tools, requests re-inspections as needed.
· Must have a clean driving record.
Requirements:
· 5 years of prior auto claims handling experience strongly preferred.
· Four-year college degree with strong customer service preferred.
· Active Adjusters License required.
· You must have a pleasant and patient telephone manner.
· You must have extensive litigation experience.
· Must have the ability to market yourself and the HGI brand through exceptional claims handling services.
· Experience investigating, evaluating, negotiating and setting moderately complex auto claims strongly preferred.
· Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to acquire a working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations and/or specialized industry knowledge related to the functional area.
· Must be able to work off of a Claims Management Diary System.
· Provide Program technical assistance as applicable.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and effective interpersonal skills.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher or related software.
· All other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
