Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     he Lead Project Manager supervises and drives the development of a high performance work team focused on customer service and achieving or exceeding regional objectives. The Lead Project Manager establishes a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction and proactively manages and supports relationships and processes with suppliers. They provide project management services that meet or exceed builders’ expectations throughout the life of the project and remain the single point of contact for the project. The Lead Project Manager provides timely and concise verbal and written communications and promptly responds to builders’ requests. They employ sound risk management principles that meet or exceed project and regional profitability goals and establish and ensure milestone dates and deliverables are met. The Lead Project Manager also supports and engages in a collaborative work environment between all internal company functions and builds trust among peers and customers by developing strong relationships.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Staff, manage, and develop project management team direct reports
    • Manage and maintain backlog order management data for monthly and quarterly forecasts
    • Perform project reviews and attend backlog and claims meetings
    • Problem solve field issues, resolve claims and manage change orders
    • Perform business audits to ensure accuracy of order entry and fully understand scope of work
    • Facilitate communications with customers during the engineering stage of the project
    • Establish and monitor milestone dates and communicate schedule to customers
    • Facilitate kick-off and hand-off meetings

    Qualifications


    Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications

    • Associate or 2-year technical degree
    • 6 years of relevant work experience
    • 3 years pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) experience

    Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in a related field
    • 8 years of relevant work experience
    • 4 years PEMB experience
    • Experience in a leadership role

    Technical Skills & Competencies

    • Extensive knowledge of Order Management System applications, product, document and processes knowledge
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Superior time management skills and negotiating skills
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with builders, customers or clients
    • Proven organizational agility
    • Proven ability to influence others
    • Proactive approach to managing projects and takes ownership of his/her projects
    • Sound risk management practices
    • Competence in Microsoft Office products
    • Ability to read and interpret Architectural/Structural drawings and specifications
    • Able to effectively manage projects to provide projections for shipped tons, dollars and margin
    • Able to effectively manage key milestones, change orders and margin enhancement
    • Excellent problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
