Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Our client, an award winning wealth management and planning practice in Westport, is hiring a teamed lead advisor to continue to deliver first class service to their clients. The right candidate should have experience as a client facing advisor and a passion for the planning process. The primary responsibility of the lead advisor is to continue to provide dynamic planning to existing clients, conduct client reviews and collaborate with team members to execute an unmatched client experience.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
· Sit second chair on senior advisor/founding partner’s client meetings to build relationships and understanding planning philosophy with clients.
· Conduct reviews for a client segment to ensure their investment, advanced planning and insurance strategies are connected to their updated goals. In addition, identify any new planning opportunities.
· Gain referrals and introductions from existing clients to new potential clients or next generation clients.
· Work with the investment, planning and operations team to collaborate on analysis, recommendations and service items.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree
· 3 years of financial planning experience
· CFP preferred (or obtain in first 18 months with the firm)
· Series 7 and 66 and LAH insurance license
