Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Overview:We are a growing hearing healthcare practice in the Memphis, TN area currently seeking an Audiologist who is driven, self-motivated, and passionate about helping patients hear well again. The ideal candidate must be strong clinically and effectively counsel while building patient rapport. We are looking for a team player who wants to be an asset to the practice's growth. The hours are Monday – Friday 8-5PM, with possible travel to our Jackson, TN location 1 day a week.
Daily tasks and responsibilities- Establish rapport with patients, performing audiometric testing and guidance for the appropriate hearing healthcare needs for the patients.
- Make ear impressions, ear molds, and order instruments.
- Maintain documentation and patient files.
Qualifications- Audiology but Au.D. is preferred.
- Active and current hearing aid dispensing license or eligible to obtain.
The successful Audiologist will also possess the following:- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- The ability to interact professionally with patients, team members and other professionals.
