Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Job Description: As an Audiologist with us, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders using evidence-based practices. Our practice emphasizes best practices, including real-ear measures and modern testing equipment, to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
    • Assess patient’s medical history and collaborate with Otolaryngology physicians to develop personalized treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with Otolaryngology physicians to provide integrated care.
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including the use of amplification, assistive listening devices, aural rehabilitation, and counseling.
    • Maintain clear and timely communication with treating physicians through written reports.
    • Uphold professional, ethical, and legal standards in all services provided.

    Requirements:

    • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
    • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
    • Experience with diagnostic hearing evaluations, including air- and bone-conduction testing, comprehensive speech testing, and immittance.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.
