Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Our state-of-the-art dispensing clinic is located in the Olympic Village, nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains where hiking, paddling, biking, alpine, and cross-country skiing opportunities abound!

    In this role, you will:

    • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, assessments, and hearing

    instrument fittings

    • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each

    patient

    • Provide counseling and education to patients on hearing loss, hearing device use,

    hearing loss prevention, and tinnitus treatment options.

    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

    Qualifications:

    • Audiology state licensure
    • Strong clinical skills in audiological assessments, hearing aid evaluations, and fittings
    • Strong skills (or willingness to learn) in all aspects of running a small private practice
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and follow-through
    • A commitment to providing client-centered care

    Requirements

    · Master's degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology

    · New York license (or ability to obtain licensure in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing)

    · Excellent communication, time management skills, and attention to detail and follow-up.

    · Ability to establish rapport with patients.
