Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Essential Functions:

    • Provide hearing evaluations, counseling and patient care.
    • Dispensing hearing aids, specialty products and assisted devices
    • Achieve the clinical operational variables in addition to monthly and annual goals.
    • Maintain all clinical records and charts as specified by the practice's protocols.
    • Lyric extended-wear hearing device required
    • Discuss pricing of hearing instruments, presenting the value of hearing health care, your services, and the long-term effects of hearing aid use
    • teach patients how to best utilize the new technology to meet their hearing goals
    • Perform needed adjustments to fitted products; comply with all procedural company quality standards and guidelines to maximize product performance and overcome patient concerns/objections.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Hearing Aid Dispensing / Hearing Instrument Specialist License
    • Audiology Externs and New Grads encouraged to apply
