The Audio Visual Event Technician will serve as the tactical expert in carrying out the audio visual experience of our hybrid events onsite in the Seattle office and serving as the point of contact for onsite teams in other offices to carry out hybrid events and troubleshoot onsite AV break/fixes across the national Zillow portfolio. The Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. About the role Provide AV support to on-site & hybrid Zillow gatherings in Zillow’s Seattle office Partner with Zillow’s Workplace team to provide AV support to large gathering planners hosts remotely. Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment. Meet with Zillow employees hosting events on-site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly. Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day. Troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues in a timely and professional manner. Create customer-facing instruction manuals to explain how to use the AV equipment throughout Zillow’s portfolio Prioritize onsite customer demands vs break fix automation reports and issues from the internal ticketing system. This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute. In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $27.00 - $43.10 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Who you are High School Diploma required. Associate's degree is preferred. 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in a customer facing environment is preferred. A proven track record of interfacing with partners in a customer-centric manner, helping to solve problems to make an enjoyable experience for employees/customers A willingness to be the intermediary between the user, the onsite teams, and the AV Engineering team.
