Notre Dame Studios and Teaching & Learning Technologies is seeking a Director of Audio Video Technologies (AVT). This position leads strategic planning, oversees the work of, and develops a high performing team of AV engineers and technicians to establish and maintain forward-looking campus AV design standards, effective consultation and implementation processes, robust planned maintenance services and customer-centric support processes.
The Director of AVT collaborates with key stakeholders across campus (including but not limited to the Registrar's Office, Notre Dame Learning, Teaching and Learning Technologies, Facilities, Design and Operation, Notre Dame International, OIT Help Desk and others) to chart and influence the direction for new or revised AV services and operational plans. S/he identifies workflow and client relationship opportunities, researches and strategizes use of emerging technologies, and resolves operational problems using industry best practices. This role is a key member of the Notre Dame Studios and Teaching & Learning Technologies Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Five years experience in audiovisual technologies, education technology, or related fields.* Familiarity with AV industry trends and methodologies* Knowledge of and ability to apply solid leadership and management principles and practices, including strong decision making ability, excellent supervisory skills and practical budget administration experience* Outstanding planning and organizational skills; experience with project management * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)* Collaborative style and the ability to work effectively within a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a higher educational setting and with educational technology * Experience deploying technology in service to pedagogy that facilitates versatile teaching and collaborative/interactive learning* Knowledge of analog and digital audio & video signal flow* Ability to read & interpret electronic schematic diagrams and construction drawings * Understanding of technical jargon, yet able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
