DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Technology Division / Technology Support Center
STATUS: Classified - Non-Exempt/Full-Time
HOURS OF WORK: 8 hours a day / 242-day calendar
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible to install, troubleshoot and maintain the District’s Audio-Visual equipment.
This position is part of the Technology Division and reports to the Audio/Visual Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Audio-Visual devices in the school district
Projectors
Flat Panel TVs
Sound systems; permanent and mobile
Hardwired and Wireless Display connectivity
Apple TV
Miracast
Desktop/laptop computers
Document cameras
DVD Players
Support staff and guests during meetings and conferences
Collaborate with other network technicians to support network level services
Work with outside vendors, consultants and support conduits
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Some education or job experience in the AV or technology field
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong understanding audio-visual devices as well as user support
Ability to self-manage and make independent decisions
Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Must exhibit a high degree of motivation, responsibility and confidentiality
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Proven ability to manage time, projects and meet deadlines
Highly collaborative team player
Work with staff with lesser technical skills to resolve questions and issues
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the performance of heavy work—which requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position includes significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
The job is performed in generally hazard free environment and a clean atmosphere.
