Athletic Trainer jobs in South Dakota

Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Athletic Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Responsibilities: The Athletic Department is seeking an Athletic Trainer to assist with the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for assigned sports. This position will provide injury care and rehabilitative services; with student-athletes on the softball team.
    Qualifications: Master’s degree in sports medicine or a related field with experience in a similar position required. BOC certification required and South Dakota Athletic Trainers licensure eligible. Familiarity with NCAA Division I preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
