Athletic Trainer jobs in Illinois
Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Athletic Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Responsibilities include:
- Motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals
- Perform fitness assessments
- Create specialized programs based on client's needs and specific goals
- Consistent follow up with client leads
- Build client base through referrals and branding yourself
Qualifications:
- Understand proper exercise technique, human anatomy and movement patterns
- Possess excellent customer service and sales skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, punctual and goal oriented
Certifications/Education:
- Current Personal Training certification required
- (CPR) and (AED) certification required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
Experience:
- Personal Trainer experience preferred, but not required
