West Virginia Wesleyan College is currently accepting applications for multiple Athletic Training position openings. WVWC is seeking to fill the position of Head Athletic Trainer and up to 2 Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. WVWC sponsors 21 NCAA Athletic Programs and a Competitive Dance team. An athletic trainer to work with the sport of football will be within one of the available positions.
All positions are full-time and will be either an 11-month (Head AT) or 10-month (Assistant AT) appointment. Candidates should demonstrate a solid foundation of athletic training skills; excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills; and possess a strong commitment to quality healthcare delivery to student-athletes. WVWC offers an Athletic Training program to students and athletic training student supervision, serving as a Preceptor within the ATP, and assisting with appropriate CAATE and NCAA reporting documents may be part of the position responsibilities.
The Assistant Athletic Trainer positions are responsible for, but not limited to: providing quality athletic training services to athletes, including, but not limited to, prevention, evaluation, assessment, rehabilitation, conditioning, referral, and documentation, including travel as necessary; and assisting the in daily operations of the athletic training facility.
Required qualifications: BOC Certification, WV AT licensure (or eligible), Bachelor’s Degree in AT or related field, 1-2 years experience as an Athletic Trainer
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree, 3-5 years experience as an AT
