Asst. Professor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. The primary clinical responsibilities of this faculty member will be to provide inpatient rehabilitation services at Rusk Hospital.
Secondary clinical responsibilities would include an interest in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or EMG's.
This position will teach rotating residents and other student learners in a clinical setting.
Minimum Qualifications: M.D or D.O. in Physiatry
