This is a tenure-track position. Primary duties will include teaching both Physics and Astronomy and their laboratory courses to undergraduate students of various majors. Other duties also include carrying out research and promoting Physics and Astronomy as subjects. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus in the workplace. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Physics, Applied Physics, or Computational Physics. ABDs will also be considered but must have earned a doctorate before appointment. We strongly encourage candidates with Applied and Computational Physics coursework together with the ability to teach Astronomy courses. We prefer candidates who: (a) have a strong record of or potential for sustained publication in peer-reviewed journals, (b) have the potential for or prior experience with seeking and/or securing external grant funding, (c) have a strong desire to work with first-generation students, and (d) have the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen our undergraduate and graduate courses.
