After School Music Academy provides enrichment classes all over California. We aim to help kids and young adults gain confidence through creativity by introducing them to music and other performing arts and by giving them a dedicated time and space to enrich their imaginations.

We are primarily looking for fun and talented music teachers that love working with kids to join our team!

Music Instructor Position:

As a music Instructor with After School Music Academy, you will be-

• Leading Ukulele/Guitar, Piano and Drums after school classes at elementary, middle and high schools in the Redwood City and San Jose areas.

• 
  Planning classes by assessing the needs of the schools and students youre assigned.

• Implementing fun and creative activities in order to make learning enjoyable for the students.

• Organizing a performance showcase at the end of a session or semester.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, you must have-

• Teaching experience with kids in a classroom and/or private lessons

• Proficiency in one of the listed instruments, an ability to teach multiple instruments is highly preferred

• Reliable vehicle

• Uninterrupted and on-time availability for teaching hours

• An ability to teach the fundamentals of Music

• A willingness to learn and grow, and flexibility to adapt to new changes

• Functional problem solving abilities

• Good classroom management skills

• A clear background check. A Live Scan(fingerprinting) and Tuberculosis test is required for this position
