As part of this restructuring, the Indiana General Assembly has provided $60 million to significantly expand and renovate research and laboratory space. The university is also creating two new institutes, the Convergent Bioscience and Technology Institute and the Institute for Human Health and Wellbeing, both of which have a significant bioscience focus. The personnel and resources of these institutes will provide additional avenues for collaborations. The Department is especially interested in recruiting a candidate from groups that are under-represented in Physics. Applicants should submit a CV, a statement of proposed research, a description of teaching experience and philosophy, and names and contact information for three references.Review of applications will begin on April 1, 2024, but applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. The IU Indianapolis campus is located near downtown Indianapolis, a city that uniquely combines the cultural amenities of urban life with the residential qualities of smaller communities and is highly affordable.
