Laniakea Montessori School is searching for a flexible, experienced music teacher to instruct 3 classes of children, ages 6-9, 9-12, and 12-16 for one-hour long classes each week during our school year. Music instruction should include music theory, history and composers, singing and some musical instrumentation (bells, percussion, recorders, etc.). The ideal candidate would also visit our primary (preschool/kindergarten) room for brief weekly sing-alongs. Classes generally take place between 1 and 3, though the exact schedule is somewhat flexible. We are also looking for a candidate who may be available for additional substitute hours on an as-need basis.
