A high-volume litigation firm is seeking to add a legal assistant/legal secretary with exceptional administrative skills to its team. The ideal candidate is expected to work comfortably under pressure with tight deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, the candidate should be detail-oriented, exercise sound judgment and must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen interest in providing purposeful support to the attorney. Top candidates will be very personable, yet has the ability to relay information efficiently and possess proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities:

• Answer a multi-line telephone system, including screening and scheduling Leads.
• Prepare legal documents, including correspondence and legal pleadings
• Maintain the firm calendar
• Coordinate with court staff, law firms, and medical providers to assure deadlines and requests are acquired
• Liaising with clients, including answering routine legal inquiries
• Reviewing and responding to incoming correspondence from clients, other attorneys and general office inquiries
• Copying/mailing/scanning/filing correspondence
• Performing any other assigned tasks that will improve the firm and its services

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Legal experience is preferred but not required
• Administrative/Secretarial experience is required

Compensation:

• $13 - $19/hourly
