Job Description
The Legal Assistant/Paralegal-Contracts for St. Elizabeth Healthcare is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with St. Elizabeth’s Associate General Counsel-Contracts (and others as appropriate) in performing various administrative and para-professional tasks related to the organization, tracking, drafting, editing, maintenance, and negotiation of contracts forwarded to the Legal Department for review. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization, critical thinking and the ability to communicate and work with all levels and specialties in the organization. Duties include assisting in reviewing, analyzing, drafting and editing contracts and documents, utilizing the contract management system, calculating contract values, working with compensation benchmarks, research of various legal and non-legal issues, creating and updating templates, development of reports, track contract review progress and status, communicate with other department personnel, and other contract matters and duties as they arise.

Job Duties
Work collaboratively with the Associate General Counsel-Contracts (and others as appropriate) to perform various administrative and para-professional tasks related to the organization, tracking, drafting, editing, maintenance, negotiation, management and follow up support of contracts forwarded to the Legal Department for review and processing.
Assist with calculating and drafting fair market valuation reports on designated clinical contracts.
Provide support on designated contract projects including assistance with updating largescale agreements.
Assist with management of Business Associate Agreements.
Assist with C360 Contract Management System support in organizing, tracking, pulling and maintaining contracts.
Assist with maintaining contract template library, and with tracking and creation of routine reports for outside departments.
Assist with discovery requests and other legal matters.
Assist with meeting preparation to include scheduling, reminders, and assembly of information.
Perform other duties as assigned and incorporated herein.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
• Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree
• Proficiency with common computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Specialized Knowledge:
• 3 years paralegal experience with emphasis on contracts and contract management, database organization
• Experience in traditional contract paralegal responsibilities including contract review, drafting, editing, tracking and managing
Kind and Length of Experience:
• 3 years’ experience as a paralegal, in healthcare operations, or corporate contracting. Additional education may be substituted for work experience.
