Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Dean of Health Sciences.
Responsibilities: This 12-month, full-time Educational Services position is responsible for the overall vision, management leadership, and oversight of the Health Sciences Division. The position is one component of a team who collaborate to lead all credit-bearing and non-credit programs for the college. Duties include coordinating assigned activities with other campus departments and working closely with outside stakeholders, including community, business, and industry professionals. The position develops community partnerships to assess community training needs and to support clinical training opportunities, oversees program accreditations, provides leadership for class schedules, curricula, and program goals, and evaluates assigned staff and faculty.
Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; doctorate degree with course work in education or a related health sciences field preferred. A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible management experience in the health care field is required. Experience managing college faculty and developing and managing programs as a college associate dean or division chair responsible for health-related education programs and demonstrated college teaching experience are highly preferred. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC’s vehicle insurance.
Salary: Commensurate.
