 Job Summary 
The Division of Marine Science in the School of Ocean Science and Engineering (SOSE) at The University of Southern Mississippi invites qualified applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in Marine Chemistry at the assistant level to begin in Fall 2022. Salary packages will be nationally competitive and commensurate with experience.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities  
We seek qualified applicants for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position as an assistant professor in Marine Chemistry to join the Marine Science faculty in the Division of Marine Science. We are particularly interested in candidates who can make use of existing analytical infrastructure for trace element analysis, including a high resolution ICP-MS, clean lab, and other related equipment.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, publish peer-reviewed literature, mentor students, participate in undergraduate and graduate instruction and develop courses in their area of study. The candidate should demonstrate the potential to contribute across disciplines and promote the continued interdisciplinary growth of the academic and research programs within SOSE.
