    Duties:

    The Assistant Professor will become a team member of the faculty of Montana Technological University in the Department of Business.  The successful candidate must be able to teach a variety of business courses using multiple delivery methods but will primarily focus on either the use of information technology in business decision making with specific focus on management information systems, data analytics, and enterprise resource planning software or support for all levels of the accounting curriculum.  The normal teaching load is four courses per semester with the potential for course reduction given for value adding activities related to scholarship and service.  Additionally, the candidate will be required to advise undergraduate students, serve on committees, and commit to professional development and/or scholarly activity. The faculty member will be evaluated for tenure and promotion purposes in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service.

    Required Qualifications:

    • A master’s degree in a business discipline and five years of pertinent industry experience or an earned doctorate with a business focus.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preferred qualifications include experience using and/or teaching management information systems with advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP or equivalent ERP platform. 
    • Undergraduate level teaching experience,
    • The ability to teach business courses other than management information systems,
    • Pertinent industry experience.
