The Department of Business Administration and Accounting at Saint Michael's College invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing. This position is a Tenure Track position beginning in August of 2024. Candidates should demonstrate an active research trajectory. Teaching responsibilities include six four-credit classes per academic year from among our required and elective business administration courses. Candidates should also be interested in curriculum development, outcomes assessment, and student advising.
Typical courses include principles of marketing, marketing electives, and either managerial ethics or one of the major’s required experiential options, called Organizational Problem Solving. Potential elective courses include international marketing, marketing management, sports marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, and entrepreneurship. There is room in the curriculum to also develop integrated marketing courses such as sales, public relations, marketing for nonprofits, marketing ethics and sustainability, marketing analytics, or services marketing.
The department culture is committed to student excellence, and our faculty explore opportunities for co-authored teaching and research. There may be opportunity to teach courses in the newly established Digital Marketing program or the College’s interdisciplinary programs given a candidate’s background.
