Grotto Network is searching for an Associate Producer to join their Emmy-winning video production team. Candidate should have the ability to help a video project move from the ideation stage to final export. More importantly, the candidate will be asked to contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor interns and student contributors along the way.
This position is responsible for creating video content that speaks to the soul. From short films and mini-documentaries to Instagram Reels and Tik Tok - storytelling is the highest priority. Candidate must have a strong understanding of existing and emerging platforms and a willingness to use them.Bold creativity, "pushing the envelope," and the ability to give and receive critique are paramount to this position. Candidate must have proven experience in creating high-quality video content; in addition to the fundamentals of shooting and editing, the candidate must be able to brainstorm great ideas and script gripping narratives.Candidate will collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external constituencies. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the Catholic faith and the ability to bring it to life through video. Candidate will work to support Grotto's mission to reach and walk with disaffiliated young adult Catholics and invite them to engage with a community of faith.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or advanced degree in media-related field.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in:
- All aspects of video projects including leading and working with video production teams.
- Professional pre-production, camera work, multiple editing suites, lighting, audio and full gamut of production roles.
- Strong organizational and communications skills and a collaborative style and the ability to work effectively within a diverse population is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Creative and strategic thinking preferred.
- Strong writing background preferred.
- Understanding and appreciation for Catholic teaching.
