Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Corvallis Community Church (corvalliscommunitychurch.org), is an independent Bible Church seeking a full-time Associate Pastor.
Qualifications:
1) Must be a mature, growing believer with the character qualifications consistent for an elder described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
2) Be a man who recognizes God’s call to ministry.
3) One who maintains a consistent habit of Bible study and prayer.
4) Be in agreement with Corvallis Community Church’s Constitution and By-Laws including our doctrinal statement.
5) Prefer a degree from a Bible School/seminary or equivalent experience.
6) Must pass a background check.
Who we are seeking (what is important to us):
1) We are primarily seeking a man to join us in ministry at Corvallis Community Church. Therefore, most important to us is that he loves the church body and be committed to shepherding the flock of Christ.
2) Ministry responsibilities will be matched with the candidate’s giftedness, interest and with the direction of the church’s leadership team.
3) Major responsibilities will include assisting the senior pastor in the work of ministry (including but not limited to shepherding, teaching, preaching, counseling, visitation).
4) This man will be given opportunity to strengthen his pulpit ministry multiple times each year.
5) He will also be a man of God who is eager to serve and desires to be used of the Lord to strengthen His church.
6) There is some “vagueness” in this description because we are more concerned that the associate pastor be a man of godly character than having a specific skill-set. We trust the Lord for His direction in this search.
