Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Jefferson Community Church in Goshen, Indiana is expanding its ministry by adding a Family Outreach Director. This unique person will gather people together and build Christ-centered relationships with families in our current children’s ministries with opportunities to develop their own spiritual communities (New Churches). Duties:
· Interacting and building relationships daily with kids and families
· Develop spiritual communities out of current children’s ministries to plant unique interdependent churches
· Willing to have flexible hours. We would be open to making this position part-time or full-time.
· Live as a missionary in Northern Indiana

· A vibrant growing personal faith in Jesus Christ
· Ability to recruit, develop, coordinate and empower volunteers
· A demonstrated ability to create and implement new methods of sharing Jesus
· A missionary mindset willing to view this geographic region as their mission field
· Able to thrive in a fast paced environment and laud small beginnings

· A gatherer of people with missionary behaviors and missionary mindset and a servant’s heart
· Enthusiastic, energetic, people person and people oriented
· Proven history of building and facilitating strong personal relationship with others
Goshen is located in north central Indiana in Elkhart County, the RV capital of the world. We are ethnically diverse and also have a large Amish and Mennonite Community. Goshen offers a suburban feel with a thriving Main Street and the 2nd largest county fair in the country. JCC is a congregation of 150 with a daily children’s ministry of 100 kids during the school year and 250 kids during the summer.
