Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Associate Pastor focuses on helping people take their Next Step. They lead CCV Groups, Next Step Center’s & classes (Starting Point, Baptisms, Financial classes, etc.), and assist in Pastoral Care opportunities. They also recruit and train their Group Coaches and Next Step Center Coaches. An Associate Pastor must embody a heart for people and possess the maturity and wisdom to pastorally equip and empower people as they grow in their faith.
