We are currently seeking a Manager of Human Resources based at our Corporate Office in Vero Beach, Florida.
Position Purpose:
Manage all human resource initiatives including, but not limited to recruitment, payroll/compensation, benefit administration, and employee Relations. Some overlap with training and development and employee communications for the entire company.
Position Accountabilities
Identify and implement strategic HR solutions to align with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with all employment law and HR policy requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists managers with recruiting, interviewing and hiring of non-exempt employees.
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters; collaborate with organizational development manager and senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention and compensation levels.
Perform market studies for wage bands for different roles within the company and different geographical areas.
Analyze and modify HR policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company Policy.
Advise others on regulatory matters, including OSHA and DOT requirements
Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, terminations, and administering other disciplinary procedures
Promote, enhance and enforce a culture and programs that encourage internal growth and continuity including, but not limited to, performance appraisal process, onboarding of new employees and continuity planning.
Manage bi-weekly payroll processing and all appropriate reporting and auditing requirements
Facilitate and oversee company relationship with PEO
Build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Manage one direct report
All other HR administrative duties as needed
Ability to travel on occasion
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
5 years minimum in a similar level position with a multi-state company
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources; business administration or related field
Experience working with a PEO is preferred.
ESOP knowledge or previous experience is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Requires continuous concentration, alertness and attention to detail
Excellent time management and problem solution skills
Manage multiple projects at the same time, ability to work with urgent deadlines and flexible prioritization
Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software
PHR or SPHR Certified
