Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Associate Human Resources Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Human Resources Director will plan, develop, and direct the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
     
    The Human Resources Director oversees the administration of all human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; personnel investigations; performance management; recruitment and retention; recognition and morale; and training and development.
     
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • The HR Director must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Must have the ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of staff within the District and our community partners.
    • Must possess strong leadership qualities and have previous leadership experience.
    • Must have excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
    • Must possess good time management and good decision-making skills. 
    • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • At least five years of human resource management experience is required.
    • A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
    • The annual salary range for this position is $93,036 to $107,893, DOE. MCHD offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision with health insurance for employees and spouses, or employees and children at no cost to you.
