Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Associate Human Resources Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Job Summary

    Responsible for the overall strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration and evaluation of the Human Resource function. This includes formulating HR-related policies and procedures; administering the Associations’ wage, salary and benefit programs; coordinating effective recruiting and talent acquisition; implementing organization development and training programs; providing direction for positive employee relations practices and leading the Association’s compliance with all governmental and labor laws and regulations.

    Primary Responsibilities

    · Compensation and Benefit Programs

    • Implement and administer the wage and salary programs to include pay structure, pay surveys, monitoring pay practices, communicating pay policies and ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
    • Communicate the benefits programs to employees and monitor cost containment. Recommend changes to benefits aimed at employee satisfaction, retention and cost effectiveness.
    • Lead the effective and efficient administration of the Performance Management process making sure the system promotes a merit based, high performing organization.
    • Manage the PEO, Payroll and Human Resource Information System.

    · Recruiting and Talent Acquisition

    • Develop and drive talent acquisition strategies to ensure effective staffing needs of the Association.
    • Recruit and interview candidates for open positions
    • Provide effective orientation for newly hired employees.

    · Organization Development and Training

    • Design, direct and manage a company-wide process of organization development that addresses succession planning, workforce development, organization design and retention.
    • Research and provide training programs for all employees. Monitor and track employee training.
    • Work with and partner with the Leadership Team to help prevent and resolve issues and problems.
    • Provide coaching to employees on career development and training opportunities

    · Employee Relations

    • Must have an understanding of the company’s corporate philosophy and its mission and vision statements. Must have the ability to maintain internal and external professional relationships.
    • Must be customer service oriented and capable of promoting Bonita Bay Group’s customer service standards throughout the organization.
    • Determine and recommend employee relations practices to establish a positive employee relations environment and culture.
    • Promote programs to encourage a high level of employee engagement and morale.
    • Act as employee advocate and conduct investigations of employee complaints or concerns.
    • Oversee the progressive disciplinary process.
    • Assure employees records are current and accurate. Provide standard dashboard of Human Resource metrics on a regular basis, to include turnover, pay increases, absenteeism, performance management, headcount, recruiting openings, etc.

    · HR Policies and Procedures

    • Develop, review and recommend Human Resource policies and procedures for the Association as reflected in HR best practices.
    • Communicate and monitor policies and procedures

    · Legal Compliance

    • Maintain knowledge and application of relevant laws and regulations.
    • Provide leadership and compliance to governmental and labor regulations. Act as a resource to the management team on employee legal issues.
    • Ensure employee files and records are properly and securely maintained, to include FMLA, EEOC, ADA, Workers Compensation, OSHA, I-9 and all required reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
    • Minimum of 7-9 years of HR generalist experience to include experience as part of the Leadership Team
    • Experience working for a Community Association is preferred/desired.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
    • Experience implementing strategies and systems for talent management, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures, and employee relations programs.
    • Strong business acumen and leadership abilities
    • Prefer experience in community associations, hospitality or service industry.
    • Bilingual with ability to read, write and speak Spanish is preferred.

    Working Relationship

    • Reports to General Manager
    • Manages a small staff of Human Resource Support employees
    • Liaison and active member of HR Committee
    • Provides Support and Advice to Leadership Team on HR matters.
    • Provides trusted service to all employee groups.
