Associate General Counsel jobs in Kannapolis, NC
Associate General Counsel is responsible for ensuring an organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Develops and reviews an organization's policies, practices, and guidelines. Being an Associate General Counsel assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides counsel to senior leadership. Additionally, Associate General Counsel identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance. Assists or represents the organization in business negotiations. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Associate General Counsel manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be an Associate General Counsel typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely and efficiently load rolls on the machine per roll handling procedures.
• Keep glue application and all machine settings adjusted as needed.
• Assist with filling out safety, quality, and production sheets to be turned in every shift.
• Assist stacker with keeping pallets caught up.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Completely clean work area at the end of each shift.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Safety training a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to read and write English is required.
• Ability to read a ruler is required.
• Heavy repetitive lifting for up to 10 hour shift.
• Good coordination to hang large rolls on the machine using Big Joe walk behind movers.
• Forklift experience would be a plus for pulling pallets of paper rolls from the warehouse.
• Clear communication.
• Good teamwork .
• Be willing to work 5 to 6 days a week as needed.
