Associate General Counsel is responsible for ensuring an organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Develops and reviews an organization's policies, practices, and guidelines. Being an Associate General Counsel assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides counsel to senior leadership. Additionally, Associate General Counsel identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance. Assists or represents the organization in business negotiations. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Associate General Counsel manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be an Associate General Counsel typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Job Summary:
The Arkansas Commission for Parent Counsel (ACPC) is seeking applications for a part time attorney to represent parents in dependency-neglect cases in the 16th Judicial District (Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard and Stone Counties. Preferably you will currently be qualified as Parent Counsel under Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order No. 15Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing strategies for resolving legal issues
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organizationRequirements:
-Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, and litigation
- Familiarity with legal administrative procedures
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively-Administrative order 15 qualified preferred but will train if not

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
