    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the General Counsel, and the Associate General Counsel, is responsible for providing legal advice to Doyon, Limited and its subsidiaries.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to internal clients on operational, commercial, contract and employment matters.
    • Ensure company activities are in compliance with all relevant agreements, laws, and regulations.
    • Work closely with and monitors the work of outside counsel to effectively manage to budget and drive cost effective delivery of legal services.
    • Supervise technical and clerical staff, as assigned.
    • Significant experience in contracts and employment law.
    • Able to maintain a good working relationship with company management, directors, co-workers, shareholders and the general public.
    • Knowledgeable of corporate practice and procedure.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an American Bar Association-accredited school of law.
    • A minimum of five (5) years experience as a practicing attorney specializing in corporate, contracts and/or employment law.
    • Admitted to practice law in the State of Alaska.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
