Associate Food Services Director - Higher Ed. jobs in Fontana, CA

Position Summary:

Grangetto’s Farm & Garden Supply is a local, family-owned retail business helping San Diego’s gardeners and growers succeed for nearly 70 years. Come join our Fallbrook location’s knowledgeable and experienced staff and help our customers find the right products for their landscape, garden, and grove projects.

Salary: $16 to $18/hr. DOE

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Customer sales, service & problem solving
• Appropriately greet & acknowledge all customers
• Handle incoming calls while promoting the highest level of customer service
• Help customer checkout efficiently
• Be familiar with “Tie-in product options”
• Responsible for reconciling and balancing cash drawer daily
• Submit recommendations for ordering to store Manager for review & final approval
• Run Min-Max reports to identify inventory stocking levels
• Accurately receive and stock merchandise
• Maintain stock levels & cleanliness of shelves, aisles & common areas
• Follow established pricing levels created for each customer by class code
• Follow the guidelines for sales of any regulated chemicals
• Assist with daily inventory cycle counts or spots counts

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications:

• Agriculture and irrigation experience a plus
• Epicor POS experience a plus
• Must demonstrate professionalism towards vendors/suppliers, customer, and team members
• Job requires a person with excellent communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and computer literate

Education: High school diploma or GED; six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
