Associate Dean of Sciences assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of science. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Sciences provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Sciences typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Sciences typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Postdoctoral Research Associate position at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
The Kamiya Mehla lab at the newly established Department of Oncology Science and the NCI-designated OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join on an NIH/NCI-funded study on cancer immunotherapy and immunometabolism. The postdoctoral researcher will be working in a multidisciplinary research group to study novel aspects of immunometabolism, tumor-immune cell interactions at the primary tumor and systemic sites in pancreatic cancer. Our state-of-the art research program utilizes molecular biology and immunology techniques along with multi-omics approaches, including sc-RNA-seq, bulk RNAseq, epigenomics, metabolomics, proteomics, CRISPR screens and genetically engineered mouse models and organoid models of pancreatic cancer.
The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D or M.D./Ph.D in the field of Immunology/ Molecular Biology/ Cancer Biology/ Biochemistry or a related field with expertise in cell-based assays, and/or animal studies.
