Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Trenam Law is seeking to add another attorney to our Employment Law group, with a specific desire to hire a 4-5-year associate. Prior experience should include supporting employers with legal matters related to employee relations, policies, compliance and litigation.
This attorney will regularly advise employers on compliance with federal and state employment law, provide advice and representation to employers in government investigations and litigation of employment claims. The associate will be expected to assist clients with various employment issues that may include wage and hour issues, workplace safety, restrictive covenants, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, family and medical leave, or employee separations.
