    Job Description Summary
    The search will remain open until the position has been filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by March 6, 2024. Applications received after March 6, 2024, may be reviewed depending on search progress and needs, but are not guaranteed full consideration.

    BASIC FUNCTION:

    Serve as a member of the College Administrative Leadership Team. Provide leadership in the development, planning, analysis, and administration of Undergraduate Programs. Represent the Dean at meetings related to undergraduate programs and activities of the College.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist and advise the Dean, College of Nursing, on all matters relating to the College’s undergraduate programs.

    Lead the long-range planning of teaching activities at the undergraduate level, student recruitment, course scheduling and curriculum planning and implementation.

    Assist faculty advisors by providing interpretation of University and College rules and regulations.

    Work closely with the Admissions Office and the Enrollment Services Office.

    Promote the College’s undergraduate programs.

    Perform other general administrative responsibilities on behalf of the Dean, including accreditation activities.

    Engage in teaching and research as appropriate.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform other duties as required.

    LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

    Personal computers and printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software. Current or eligibility for RN licensure in Rhode Island.

    Required Qualifications
    REQUIRED:

    1. Ph.D. degree.

    2. Demonstrated achievement of teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with appointment at rank of Professor eligible for tenure.

    3. Demonstrated ability to write competitive applications for extramural funding.

    4. Demonstrated experience teaching at the undergraduate level.

    5. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

    6. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

    7. Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively.

    8. Demonstrated supervisory experience.

    9. Demonstrated familiarity with accreditation and regulations relevant to undergraduate nursing education.

    10. Demonstrated current or eligibility for RN licensure in Rhode Island.

    11. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
