Job Description

Nevada State College (NSC) invites applications for the position of Associate Dean of Students. The Associate Dean of Students will support the strategic vision of the Division of Student Affairs with direct oversight of Student Conduct, Housing, Student Life, and Career Services. This position will meaningfully contribute to assessment/accreditation efforts, promote a holistic approach to student development using student development theory, and support the Division of Student Affairs in continuously increasing student engagement and capacity.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build out a robust student conduct process.
• Increase student engagement and utilization in departments.
• Ability to make data informed decisions through managing, collecting and analyzing data to assess success of programs/projects.
• Apply evidence based practices that support first-generation, low-income, and traditionally underrepresented students.
• Lead and represent the Division of Student Affairs at student engagement events.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• Supervisory experience in higher education.
• Experience adjudicating student conduct.
• An understanding of Student Development Theory.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (NSC does not sponsor employment-related visas).

• Doctorate
• 3-5 Student Conduct Experience
• Experience using Maxient
• Experience working in one of the following departments; housing and student life.

Salary & Benefits

Budgeted salary for this position is $100,000 Nevada State College offers excellent benefits, including 15.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 11 paid holidays, educational benefits, and the choice of three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
