Associate Dean of Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. The Education Alliance seeks an Education Research Associate who is a team player and self-starter who can work effectively in a fast paced ever changing professional work environment; follows directions while balancing a number of work priorities; understands and demonstrates high standards for quality and timely work; thinks critically, communicates clearly and focuses on practical solutions; and is willing to work for the betterment of the firm and our clients.
This position is ideal for a doctoral or master’s candidate, or for a candidate interested in pursuing a career in the field of secondary and post-secondary education administration, consulting, or analytics. This is a 4 to 5 day a week position with flexibility to accommodate coursework for candidates enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program.
Bachelor’s degree required. This position requires the successful candidate to have strong administrative skills (Microsoft Office applications); excellent writing skills; quantitative and qualitative research experience; demonstrated problem solving skills; and a general understanding of issues, market trends, and policy implications within the education and higher education sectors.
A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.
