    We are seeking an Associate Vice President/Dean of Student Affairs who will report to the Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. This person will be responsible for the leadership, direction, supervision and evaluation of Athletics, Student Activities, Transfer Services, Veteran Affairs, TRiO Student Support Services (Classic, STEM and ESL), Office of Student Advocacy, Multicultural Wellness and Resource Center, Center for Violence Prevention and the Child Development Center. The position is responsible, with the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, for linking all aspects of Student Affairs to the instructional areas of the College. The Associate Vice President/Dean of Student Affairs additionally serves as the Chief Judicial Officer, Chair of the Behavioral Intervention Team and the Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Example of Duties: * Design, implement, supervise and evaluate all aspects of Student Affairs at all campus sites in compliance with federal, state and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) standards. * Develop strategic and operational goals for the Student Affairs Division. * Represent the College at meetings, conferences and workshops. * Establish effective relationships with students, faculty and staff in a multicultural environment. * Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability in the development and management of budgets. * Utilize existing computerized student database systems and recognize the ability of emerging technologies in the delivery of student services. * Review all reports of student misconduct that require disciplinary action to ensure compliance with college policies. * Develop and coordinate policies and procedures relative to all student activities and oversee annual production of Student Handbook and other documents. * Serve as the Title IX Coordinator for students. Advise students regarding Title IX policy and procedures; receive and oversee investigations regarding complaints. Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and policies. * Serve as Section 504 Coordinator for current and prospective students at the College. Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination and oversight of investigations regarding complaints of discrimination. The coordinator will also identify patterns or systemic problems that arise during the review of such complaints, provide assurance of appropriate and timely institutional response and compliance; and provide counseling on matters that fall under Section 504. * Enforce College policies and regulations as they pertain to students, including internal College judicial and disciplinary procedures. * Conduct program reviews of all student services programs on a scheduled basis. * Complete annual operation plan, assessment plan, and annual report for the Division. * Monitor assessment activities within the Division. * In collaboration with Student Affairs staff, review and revise the Student Development outcomes. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Qualifications: * Master's degree in College Student Personnel Services, Education or related field required with at least 10 years of experience; Doctorate preferred. * Excellent Leadership and managerial skills and the capacity to supervise and lead a student affairs staff. * Experience in a community college environment preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to meet deadlines. * Familiarity with or ability to master a computerized student information system. * Knowledgeable about student success strategies.
