Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. The Associate Dean of clinical education provides oversight and leadership for the management of all things related to the clinical education of the osteopathic medical students at TUNCOM. This position has the responsibility to ensure that all needs required to create new and maintain existing clinical rotation sites for the COM students are being met and to further ensure that all accreditation requirements associated with clinical education are followed properly and that all accreditation standards relating to clinical education are met.
