Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. What You’ll Be Doing:
• Perform critical valuation functions for Dean Dorton clients within a variety of industries.
• Preparation and/or review of valuation models using a variety of tools.
• Analysis of the industry, economic, and other developing trends to derive valuation results.
• Use of strategic, analytical, and conceptual knowledge and theories to develop creative solutions for clients.
• Preparation and presentation of valuation reports, data, and findings to clients.
• Participation in business and team development activities to support the growth of Dean Dorton’s Business Valuation services.
What We Are Looking For
• 2-6 years of Valuation Experience.
• One or more valuation certifications such as ABV, CVA, or ASA are required.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong business acumen.
